Volunteering at the Library

The Library welcomes volunteers and program workers from a myriad of resources including workforce, AARP, work study and traditional community service volunteers.

Friends of the Library

Currently the Friends of the Library group is inactive but we are always looking for leaders to revitalize the program.

How to Contribute

Summer Reading Sponsorships

Each year the library solicits donations from the local community and parlays these contribution into incentives within our annual Summer Reading Program. These incentives make a real difference and truly motivate kids to read. Material and monetary donations are welcome.

Book Memorials

If you are looking for a way to memorialize a special person in your life or if you want to leave something behind, the library is happy to celebrate them thru a book memorial.

Book Donations

If you have some books in good condition lying around and you don't want to throw them away, the library is an excellent place to give them a second life. Contributions which are not added to the collection are sold at a very low price within our bookstore and revenue from these sales goes to library programing. We only accept books which are in good condition and not damaged.

Marion Booth Endowment

Begun thru a bequest from Marion Booth, the Marion Booth Endowment sponsors projects which are new and innovative. The Endowment is administered thru the Library Board and only interest from contributions has been used to sponsor projects. The goal of the Endowment is provide long term funding for imaginative projects.

Start a Club or Teach a Class

Did you know our popular after school chess program was started by a community member who simply walked in and told us that he'd like to help kids learn chess? It was and we would like to invite anyone interested in creating programs or fostering community to do something similar.

Create an Event

Any individual willing to host and execute an event which is free and serves a public good is welcome to do so at this library.
