National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month
As many as 5.2 million people in the United States are living with Alzheimer’s.  Although Alzheimer’s has no known cure, it may help to know certain factors about this disease.  Every 71 seconds someone develops Alzheimer’s; wouldn’t you want to know if a loved one is at risk?  Our display provides information and books that may help you learn more about this disease and how you can help.

National Adoption Awareness Month
November is a time to commemorate the success of adoption.  Although all adoption-related issues are important, the particular focus during this month is those children who are currently under foster care.  During this month states, communities, public and private organizations, businesses, and families celebrate adoptions as a positive way to build families.  This display has several books and information that will help you decide if adopting is for you.

National AIDS Awareness Month
AIDS are a worldwide epidemic for which no cure has yet been found.  This month is devoted to educating consumers, patients, students and even professionals on the prevention of AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.  Education helps us to better understand and even prevent these diseases and enables us to help others do the same.  Our display identifies several books that are available to you and our staff can provide additional information.

I Am So Thankful Month
I Am So Thankful Month is a month to share some family stories and give thanks to those around you. This November count your blessings and remember what you are thankful for.  Our display features artwork by First Christian Academy students and some Thanksgiving books you might want to read.
