We are often called upon to make choices about what is right and wrong. Ethics is the application of values to guide us toward proper moral behavior.  This display includes resources on ethics in general and as regards selected controversial areas of public debate.

Poison Prevention and Awareness Month
More than 2 million poisonings are reported each year.  March has been designated Poison Prevention and Awareness Month to highlight the dangers of poisoning and how to prevent it. Our display features some books on poisoning and its prevention.

National Craft Month
Make your inspirational ideas come to life during

the month of March--National Craft Month!  For

those who would like to try something new or

want simply want to bring out that creative muse,

our display includes resources to help you along.

What will you do to celebrate National Craft Month?

National Multiple Sclerosis Education & Awareness Month
Every year during March the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation along with the MS Coalition get together to promote awareness on MS and the understanding of the disease which attacks the nervous system. Our display features books on how you may be able to cope with the disease. For more information on MS you may also visit the multiple sclerosis section of the Medical News Today website.

Youth Art Month
Begun in 1961 by the The Art & Creative Materials Institute, Inc. (ACMI), Youth Art Month is observed each March to highlight the significance of art education for all children. It is also a month to encourage support for good school art programs.  Art education develops self-esteem, appreciation of the work of others, self-expression, cooperation with others, and critical thinking skills.  These skills are vital to the success of our future leaders--our children.

National Women’s History Month
This display features a
variety of books on famous women
that made a
difference. The contributions of women are a
very
important part of our history.  Because of the
accomplishments of outstanding women
thoughout our history, women today have a
voice.
