Family Fitness Lifestyle Month
The most common resolutions made are to be fit and/or lose weight and to spend time with family. You can try to keep your resolution during January by spending health and fitness time with your family. Our display has several books and information on activities you can do together to stay fit and healthy.
Financial Wellness Month
January is Financial Wellness Month. Since many Americans over spend during the holidays each year, what better way to start the year than by evaluating our financial wellness. Our display features resources to help with this evaluation.
National Skating Month
January is National Skating Month. Although the RGV enjoys its warm weather, its residents can take pleasure in ice skating at the RGV Ice Center located at 201 N 26th St in McAllen, TX. Our display features books to help you learn more about this wonderful sport and pastime
This month is dedicated to ending violence against women by providing training programs for instructors and services for women, designed to increase their awareness of self defense and rape prevention. Check out our display featuring a few tips on the do’s of self-defense.

Martin Luther King Day is recognized on January 19. This display provides background information on Martin Luther King Jr, his accomplishments, and his death.
