Diary of Anne Frank: The Last Entry : 65th Anniversary

The anniversary covers the 65th anniversary of the last known entry by Anne into her diary which she named Kitty.  The exact date of her last entry was on August 1, 1944.  Three days later on August 4 the Nazi police raided the secret annex and took all the inhabitants away. She ultimately arrived at the Bergen-Belsen Concentration camp where everyone she ever knew, with the exception of her father (Otto Frank), perished. At the age of fifteen, two months before the camp was liberated, she died of typhus.  Her dreams of becoming a movie star in Hollywood would never become a reality, but many years after her death, she accomplished a few of her dreams--to be well known through out the world and have her photograph in books, magazines and have her life portrayed in plays and film.
